Featuring 14 international artists working in a variety of media, the exhibition presents abstract visual practice exploring the term ‘elements’ in relation to ourselves, the spaces we engage with, nature and conceptual themes beyond the material world. This exhibition has been conceived in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, allowing artists to stay connected, engaged and continue sharing their work with a global audience in a safe and accessible way. Inspired by an excellent introduction yesterday by Inspired by an excellent introduction yesterday by @kamikyodai to his insightful folding methods for exploring Islamic patterns, a simple eightfold pattern revealed by folding the silver rectangle leftover when cutting a square from an A4 sheet. I learned A LOT folding these three related clover I learned A LOT folding these three related clover variations, two of which were challenges from @origami.by.e and @praisepratajev .. almost asked for help a couple of times, took a few wrong turns, but managed them all in the end. I'm starting to feel a degree of fluidity working with the many variations of these tilings.
