New logo and website for Bespoke Establishments

   August 22, 2012
  Graphic Design, Typography

We’ve just launched the new identity and website for Bespoke Establishments, a lifestyle and property management company based in London. The monogram takes inspiration from the types of shapes found in iron gates to help convey the care they take of your home while you’re away. As this is a premium brand, we chose a rich and luxurious colour palette.

The website gave us a good opportunity to try creating a responsive site and we’re really pleased with how it adapts for the iPad and iPhone. We used the 1140 Grid as a starting point.

Just waiting for the business cards to arrive now…

It was a treat to see these mesmerising metal door It was a treat to see these mesmerising metal doors at the Sultan Hassan mosque in Cairo with my own eyes having admired photos of them many times, and then draw the pattern in class a couple of days later.

They're behind a metal cage so it's hard to get a sense of them from a distance, but up close and personal was very cool too.

Had a blast last week studying and teaching in Cai Had a blast last week studying and teaching in Cairo. Thank you to the MA students @jameelhouseincairo for their dedication to developing their craft.

Beautiful, crisp and lucid drawings from the whole class towards the end of the week.

It was an absolute pleasure to visit some of the most sophisticated examples of Islamic art and architecture in stunning Cairo during the course and to draw patterns from them together through the week.

As always thanks to @schooloftraditionalarts for inviting and supporting me in this endeavour.

I will also get the opportunity to see many masterpieces of Islamic geometry which I have obsessed over, drawn, rendered and taught for years, like this 9-6 gem which is one of my all time favourite patterns. Plus the pyramids!
