I discovered this form while playing with a folded I discovered this form while playing with a folded square grid in a 4:3 rectangle and then drew isometric and one-point perspective projections of it. It is a 'nolid', in that it is a 3D form with (theoretically) no volume. You can see it as intersecting squares or interlocking square-based pyramids. Where two pyramids have a common base you get an octahedron. It's pretty easy to fold and all excess paper folds inwards and holds the structure together. In the style of illustrations from the incredible Wooden Books series @woodenbooks in particular 'Platonic and Archimedean Solids' by @daud.sutton Ink on tea-stained paper. The Great Dodecahedron. One point perspective draw The Great Dodecahedron. One point perspective drawing following the method demonstrated by @rafaelaraujo1618 .. the folded piece is made from six woven strips of paper, same as the stellated icosahedron in the previous post but with stellations sunk inwards. I've included other views of this amazing form and some process shots of the woven icosahedra.
